Privacy Policy
This policy explains information processed when you visit akahos.com, activate or use an AkahOS licensed product, make a purchase, or contact support.
1. Product data stored on your device
Freelancer Pricing & Quote OS performs its pricing calculations in your browser. Business inputs such as income targets, expenses, rates, project details, revisions, costs, retainers and quote scenarios are designed to remain in browser storage on your device and are not sent to AkahOS for calculation.
2. License activation data
To protect paid products from unauthorized sharing, the licensing service processes a license-key hash, product identifier, randomly generated device identifier, a short device/platform label, license status, activation/deactivation timestamps and last successful license-check time. The server stores only a cryptographic hash of the full license key; it stores a short key ending for support identification.
3. Website and infrastructure data
Cloudflare and other infrastructure providers may process ordinary technical and security information needed to deliver and protect the website and licensing API, such as IP address, browser/device information, requested URLs, timestamps, network information and security or diagnostic logs.
4. Purchases and payment information
When checkout is enabled, the payment provider presented at checkout processes payment credentials. AkahOS does not require you to send full payment-card numbers or banking passwords to us. We may receive the buyer email, order reference, product purchased, amount/currency, payment status and limited transaction information needed for product delivery, licensing, support, refunds, fraud prevention and records.
5. Support communications
If you contact support, we receive the information you choose to send, including your email address, message, screenshots, order reference or technical information needed to troubleshoot an issue.
6. Why we process information
- To operate and secure akahos.com and the licensing service.
- To activate paid products and enforce the purchased device allowance.
- To validate license status periodically and deactivate licenses following a valid refund, chargeback, fraud action or license violation.
- To provide support and resolve delivery or compatibility problems.
- To comply with applicable recordkeeping, tax, accounting, dispute and legal obligations.
7. License verification
The paid application requires an internet connection when it is opened. AkahOS may store a signed license token and pseudonymous device identifier locally to recognize an activated device and verify license status. Pricing, project and calculator inputs are designed to remain in local browser storage rather than being uploaded to an AkahOS account.
8. Service providers and disclosures
We may use providers for hosting/security, payment processing, email/support and other operational services. Those providers process information under their own privacy terms. We do not sell personal information to advertisers.
9. Retention
License and transaction records may be retained for as long as reasonably needed for entitlement, support, fraud prevention, disputes and legal/accounting requirements. Business calculation data stored locally in the app is controlled by the user through that browser/device.
10. Your rights
Depending on the law that applies to you, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction or a copy of personal information we hold. Some information may need to be retained where required for legal, accounting, fraud-prevention or dispute purposes.
11. Security
We use reasonable technical measures appropriate to the service, including hashed license keys, signed activation tokens and server-side entitlement checks. No online service can be guaranteed completely secure.
12. Changes
We may update this policy when products, licensing, payment providers or legal obligations change. The effective date identifies the current version.
